June 1 Update

I know yesterday we didn’t post an update; sorry, I was working on my message for this morning. It took more energy and time than it used to. Now to Carrick. He is more stable. He’s still kind of feisty, but they cover him in blankets now to prevent him from moving too much or pulling his breathing tube out of position. His oxygen settings have ranged from 50% down to the low 30s. His feedings have resumed, but instead of 2cc every three hours he gets 3cc every three hours! He’s digesting enough milk to keep the feedings going. As a result of that and time, Carrick is now 2 lb 9 oz! Our kid is huge! He’s grown one whole pound heavier! He’s still small, but we think he’s going to stay over the 2 lb mark. It’s so great! There has been no talk of taking him off the ventilator yet. He’s due for another brain ultrasound this week. He’s stabilizing. That’s what Jenni and I want. He’s making a little progress. Maybe by this time next week he’ll be eating 4cc every three hours. Thank you for praying; please continue to do so. More to come.

Baby steps! Lots of little baby steps add up to huge leaps! Good to hear he is doing well.

Early Happy Birthday Jenni!

We're on Summer break and my internet access is at the school. So I'll only get to see the blog once in a while.

We are keeping track though. We're very proud of the progress. Keep the faith! But, don't push yourself too hard. There's a lot to do when you are all finally home....

Love you both!
