May 28 Update
Carrick moved back to the Northside NICU today around lunch time. Jenni rode with him in the ambulance this time. He's back home, well, the only home he's ever known; but he is in a new bed space. It's taking some getting used to for his parents, but he doesn't care. They've been keeping him sedated all day to make certain he's not in pain. His ventilator settings are higher than they've been in awhile, and he's fighting the ventilator also. But he did just have surgery. Jenni and I saw an Xray of his chest; the clamp looks good in him. The nurse said they might even begin feeding him tomorrow. He'll start out slow, like before. If he handles 2cc every 3 hours he'll move up to more, but it's important to feed him gradually so his intestines learn to work properly. Now, all we can do is wait for him to recover and grow. The PDA issue is behind him forever now. One down, a few more to go. Thank you for bathing him in prayer and us in support and love. More to come.
