May 3 Update 2

Carrick came off his blood pressure medicine today. He also came off the jaundice light at 5 pm tonight. His isolette is now covered with his Wall-E blanket Uncle Jordan picked out for him. His blood pressure went down because he didn't digest his feeding. It came back up the feeding tube in the form of some green junk. They expect for preemies of his age to have trouble taking to feedings though. But if it continues it's not good and can cause some real damage. He is sleeping peacefully tonight. His Grandma and Grandpa Bear-Mr. and Mrs. Carrick-brought us a wealth of Berenstain Bears books Jenni read when she was little. His weight came back up to 1 lb 10 oz. He is breathing more and more on his own. His ventilator settings are continually dropping, meaning he is doing more of the work. He's ok. Jenni and I rejoice with every piece of good news, but our little guy still has very real hurtles to jump. He has a difficult path set before him. He still needs your prayers. Thank you for continuing to lift him up. He also got more blood today. He gets blood most every day.
