May 8 Update 1

Carrick vibrates on his new ventilator. His little chest rumbles. His infection is the most common among babies; he'll just be on antibiotics for the next week. They also put him on another antibiotic in cause he has another infection in his lungs, which might be the cause of his recent trouble, but they aren't sure. He got an ultrasound of his kidneys and bladder today to see if there is any blockage. They stopped his feedings for a couple days to reduce stress on his body. They're also giving him a medicine to help make the hormone our bodies produce when we're stressed, to help us deal. He isn't doing that, but the doctor said preemies have trouble with that. But his color is still good and he's moving around, which is really good. They said he might come off the new ventilator in a couple days. Some babies have constant progress, and some have a roller coaster ride. We're in the dip right now; hopefully, the hill is a couple days away. Today also marks 2 weeks of life. Yeah Carrick! More to come.

I'm praying hard for Carrick. As Jenni said in her entry, none of this is beyond God's ability to heal. Hallelujah for that!

Will, I love you, brother, and I'm also praying for strength and patience for you and Jenni. I've talked to David and Brad and we're all praying.
