June 14 Update

Carrick is doing extremely well. His residual level is way down; last night he didn't have any formula left in his stomach, and today he just had about 2cc. That is really good. The calorie decrease did what it was supposed to do. He's still getting 8cc/hour. His CPAP pressure is still at level 6, and he's still on about 30% oxygen. It's normal for us to hear him cry or make some noise every time we visit. The only medications he's receiving now are caffeine, to help him remember to breathe, and his lung treatments. He has no IVs or other things stuck in him, except the feeding tube down into his stomach. He just has about 4 sensors stuck to him for monitoring, plus the blood pressure cuff every so often. He's really beginning to look and act like a normal baby. Even so, the path to coming home is still long. He's progressed so much in almost 2 months; Jenni and I are so thankful! But he's not coming home anytime soon. He has a lot more developing to do. Thanks for praying. More to come.
