June 6 Update

Happy birthday Mom! Carrick celebrated Jenni's birthday by moving into a new, more private room in the NICU. There's a picture on the side. Another extraordinary thing happened today: I held him for the first time ever! I felt like a real father for about 40 minutes this morning. Carrick is stable on the CPAP. The pressure setting is still 8, and the oxygen level remains in the 40% range. His feedings were increased to 6cc every hour. Tomorrow will probably be the day he comes off all the IV fluids. He gained 2 oz, also. Today was just a great day. Not only did Carrick fall asleep in his father's arms, but he moved into a sweet new private room! We have also finished painting his room--green gecko. Thanks for all your prayers! More to come.
