June 20 Update
Carrick had a bad night last night, but he made up for it today. He did great. His nose looks a little better; less irritated. They will continue to watch him and make sure his nose is healing. They had to stop feeding him for awhile last night because he got too stressed out and stopped digesting. That's doing fine now too. He's still on CPAP pressure of six. He was scheduled to be bumped down to 5 but they wanted him to rest today. By the way, pressure 6 means 6 liters of air blowing into his nose. That's a lot- no wonder it aggravates him! He has to be completely wrapped up now so he won't pull his prongs out and move all over the isolette. He got to be held for about an hour tonight and he loved it. He did get a pretty good case of the hiccups, though. It sounded like he swallowed a squeaky toy. That's really all for today. Thanks for your prayers. More to come.
